Tenor Kyle Bielfield, a Miami native, is an international recording artist and performer. He has released recorded music with all of the major recording labels such as Sony Music, Universal (Decca), and Delos Music distributed by Naxos Classics.  With a master's degree in opera from the Juilliard School and a bachelor's of music from New York University, he has won several awards, including the honor of having his first professional recital engagement in Alice Tully Hall. He was privileged to originate the role of the Boy Angel in Du Yun’s Angels Bone, which was the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize in 2017.

Mr. Bielfield has performed in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and Merkin Hall in New York City. He has also performed in productions and galas with major companies including New York City Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, Opera Philadelphia, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, New York Festival of Song, American Lyric Theater, BOP in Montreal, Philadelphia Opera and the Florida Grand Opera. 

Mr. Bielfield has had the opportunity to originate several operatic roles both on stage and with emerging composers, most of which have gone on to major houses throughout the World.  Some of these operas include Peter Ash's The Golden Ticket and Jeremy Howard Beck's The Long Walk with American Lyric Theatre, Angels Bone with Beth Morrison Projects, and the Metropolitan Opera workshop of Scott Wheeler's The Sorrows of Frederick.  Kyle has also performed traditional roles and cover roles such as the Madwoman in Britten’s Curlew River, Dorvil in Rossini’s La Scala Di Seta, the Tenor Evangelist in a staged production of Handel’s Messiah, Ernesto in Don Pasquale, Le Chevalier Danois in Gluck’s Armide, Brighella in Ariadne auf Naxos, the Teapot in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortileges and Pluto in Orpheus in the Underworld.

Mr. Bielfield’s concert repertoire includes both Handel’s Messiah and his work My Love Shall be Alway, Bach’s Wachet Auf, Mozart’s Requiem, Pergolesi’s Magnificat, Schutz’s Passion (Evangelist), Bernstein’s Mass, and Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël.  

Most recently Mr. Bielfield was privileged to perform a large stage adaptation of Angels Bone n Hong Kong with the New Vision Arts Festival at the Kwai Tsing Theatre. Kyle also performed David Hertzberg's new opera The Rose Elf in New York City, in a new production following the premiere with Opera Philadelphia a year earlier. This opera was hailed in WQXR, as one of the “Best Concerts of 2018.”
