At LA Opera, we love seeing families attending opera together. For our Family Days, we pick performances from the most family-friendly operas we have in each season, and plan lots of fun activities for the day: meeting the cast, cookie decorating, games, things like that. Kids love going to the opera!

Half-price tickets for children and teens
Anytime you want to bring a child to the opera, it’s half-price. But since little tots and long operas aren’t fun for anyone, we limit the ages for attending our mainstage productions to nine and up. (Half-price tickets are available for kids up to 17 years old.) Half-price tickets are only available by phone. Order by calling the box office at 213.972.8001, Monday- Friday 10am - 6pm.
