Michele Patzakis is a performer, director, arts administrator and educator. She received critical acclaim as a leading soprano with companies such as the Zurich Opera, Spoleto Festival, New York City Opera, and the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels.  Ms. Patzakis received a master’s degree in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, with distinction in performance, and a DMA from the USC Thornton School of Music, where she held a teaching assistantship, directed productions for the Thornton Chamber Opera and was an Honors Convocation recipient of a Vocal Arts Departmental Award. Dr. Patzakis frequently presents her work for conferences and symposia including the Performing Arts Medicine Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing, for which she serves on the Los Angeles Chapter Board. A former award winner of the Metropolitan Opera Western Region Auditions, she currently serves as the Director of the San Francisco District of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.  In 2018 the Loren L. Zachary Society for the Performing Arts honored Michele for her years of service to the organization as a competition judge and artistic director.  michelepatzakis.com
